Inviting iconic characters to your village is one of the most rewarding experiences in Disney Dreamlight Valley. To bring the iconic comedian Mike Wazowski into your valley, you must first complete his initial realm mission called Eye on the Prize. This walkthrough provides detailed steps to solve every puzzle in the Monsters Inc. realm and welcome your new monstrous friend home.
Infiltrating the Locked Reception Desk
Your journey begins right after helping Sulley, where you must speak to Mike inside the Monsters Inc. realm to trigger the quest. He tasks you with finding keycards hidden behind the reception counter, but the door is firmly jammed shut. To bypass this obstacle, search the red toolbox located in the back corner of the Laugh Floor to obtain the MIFT Toolkit.
Return to the locked reception entrance and interact with the door using your newly acquired toolkit to open it. Step inside the office and pick up the stack of glistening keycards resting on the counter ledge. Once you hand the keycards over to Mike, he will request your assistance in investigating several target rooms.
Investigating the Clues Behind the Monster Doors
Mike needs crucial details about the human children to build his stand-up comedy routine, requiring you to enter three distinct doors. Inside the red door (F2), open the curtains and interact with the children's drawings found near the window, the bed, and the entry door. Report your findings back to Mike before moving on to the next color-coded bedroom.
Behind the blue door (F3), you must equip your royal camera tool to photograph specific space-themed clues scattered around the room. Take clear pictures of the Astrojet poster above the dresser, the yellow book on the floor, and the glowing stars on the ceiling. Finally, enter the green door (F4) and search the messy piles of laundry until you discover a hidden Whoopee Cushion.
Solving the Vending Machine Soda Conundrum
After delivering the initial items, Mike requests three specific sodas from the reception area but curiously only provides two tokens. The red soda can is simple to get by interacting normally with the functional red vending machine. For the blue soda can, you must first flip the light switch located directly on the side of the machine to restore power.
The green soda machine is completely out of order and will not accept your standard tokens. To bypass the broken mechanics, equip your Royal Pickaxe and strike the machine directly until the green soda pops out. Deliver all three carbonated beverages back to Mike to satisfy his monster thirst and advance the storyline.
Building the Dreamlight House and Welcoming Mike
With all realm tasks finally finished, exit back into your main valley to establish a permanent residence for the new duo. Open your furniture inventory tab, select their new house blueprint, and place the building construction site anywhere in your village. You must interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign and pay a fee of 20,000 Star Coins to fully construct the home.
Sulley will automatically arrive in your valley first, allowing you to welcome him at the Plaza well and take a commemorative photograph. Afterward, travel back to the Monsters Inc. realm to speak with Mike one last time and take a quick phone selfie together. Show him the picture to complete the mission, officially bringing the tiny green comedian to live in your village.
